2007 July 8 Independence Day Party

On July 8, 2007 the American Society hosted the best American Independence Day celebration in Catalunya! There was a live band, kid's games, a raffle (top prizes included an iPod and a helicopter tour of Barcelona), bbq ribs, hamburgers and veggie burgers, chips & salsa, delicious salads, homemade brownies, ice cream bars, plus unlimited beer, wine, mojitos, as well as non-alcoholic refreshments, and more! The event was located in the beautiful, sun-dappled, medieval plaza within the enormous old stone hospital on c/Hospital in the Raval, a building currently inhabited by the library and a design school - a great location, with its ample shade, trees, benches, and beautiful architecture.
